Providing a safer environment for our guests and associates is a top priority. Achieving this is a shared responsibility. Please join us in our efforts to enhance the safety of our public spaces by complying with local regulations, practicing social distancing (staying at least 6 feet or 2 meters from other guests and hotel associates), and wearing face coverings whenever you're in public areas of the hotel. We do appreciate your support and understanding.

There is signage throughout all public areas of the hotel to remind guests to maintain social distancing. As part of our extensive health and safety measures, our Associates will be wearing masks and screens have been installed at our front desk to protect the wellbeing of guests.


To limit unnecessary personal contact, we would recommend guests become a member of our loyalty scheme, Marriott Bonvoy and download the Marriott Bonvoy App, to take advantage of contactless check-in, check-out and mobile chat functions, making your stay as safe and seamless as possible. We are currently not offering valet service for parking. At this time, we are also not accepting any cash transactions.

Protecting the wellbeing of our guests and associates is always our top priority but never has it been more important. We have raised our exacting standards to an even higher level and implemented new hygiene and social distancing protocols and scientifically-supported practices as part of Marriott International's Commitment to Clean initiative. These include:


Enhanced Public Space Cleaning: We have increased the frequency of cleaning and disinfection, particularly in areas with high traffic and have provided a number of hand sanitisation stations throughout.


Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Staff members will wear appropriate PPE (e.g., face coverings, gloves, etc.) based on the activities they are performing. We would encourage guests who can do so to wear personal face coverings in public areas.


Electrostatic Spraying: We're utilising enhanced technologies, including electrostatic sprayers with hospital-grade disinfectants, to support our already rigorous cleanliness protocols.


Temperature checking: All guests are encouraged all associates will use our thermal imaging cameras to monitor their temperatures.


Room Amenities: In-room tea and coffee making facilities are not currently available, however, all guests are welcome to enjoy refreshments in our newly revamped Lounge on the ground floor. Disinfectant wipes are available in the room for every arriving guest as well as upon request.


Housekeeping: Prior to your arrival, your room will be deep cleaned in line with our elevated, rigorous protocols. To protect guests and limit contact with our teams, daily housekeeping services will be available on request only. However, as standard and to maintain the utmost levels of cleanliness and hygiene, all rooms will be serviced every 3rd day.

Protecting the wellbeing of our guests is our top priority and we are committed to making amenities and services available while complying with local regulations, ensuring we can maintain social distancing and keeping guests safe.

At present, guests enjoying a stay with us can take advantage of a restful night's sleep in our signature Sheraton Sleep Experience beds, unwind in our luxury bathrooms complete with mood lighting, and take in stunning views of Edinburgh Castle from our Castle View rooms and suites.

All guests staying with us from 1st October can pre-book our One Spa Aqua Experience which includes one-hour complimentary access to our 19m Swimming Pool and warm water rooftop Hydropool, within the luxurious surroundings of our iconic spa. Access is subject to availability and must be booked in advance by contacting the hotel direct on 0131 229 9131. Children's swimming times apply. One Spa Fitness Centre, including our spacious workout area complete with a range of cardio and weights machines and a large free weights space, is currently open to all hotel guests and access does not need to be booked in advance. For the time being and in line with Government guidance, One Spa Thermal Suite remains closed.

All guests are also welcome to relax in our newly revamped Lounge on the ground floor, where complimentary tea and coffee making facilities are available throughout the day. Our Lounge also boasts an extensive evening food menu of light bites and large plates, all freshly prepared by our expert team using seasonal ingredients, and a drinks list featuring a refined selection of wines and beers as well as tempting signature cocktails and spirits. Guests who prefer to dine in their rooms, can also enjoy our evening menu there.

Guests who choose to have breakfast with their stay can enjoy this from the comfort of their rooms or in our One Square Bar & Brasserie. Guests can expect a selection of continental options including home-baked pastries and breads and fresh fruits alongside hot choices such as a traditional Scottish cooked breakfast or a stack of pancakes with a homemade berry compote.

All guests are welcome to relax in our newly revamped Lounge on the ground floor, where complimentary tea and coffee making facilities are available throughout the day. Our Lounge also boasts an extensive evening food menu of light bites and large plates, all freshly prepared by our expert team using seasonal ingredients, and a drinks list featuring a refined selection of wines and beers as well as tempting signature cocktails and spirits.
