Providing a safer environment for our guests and associates is a top priority. Achieving this is a shared responsibility. Please join us in our efforts to enhance the safety of our public spaces by complying with local regulations, practicing social distancing and wearing face coverings whenever you're in indoor public areas of the hotel. We do appreciate your support and understanding.

There is signage throughout all public areas of the hotel to remind guests to maintain social distancing. As part of our extensive health and safety measures, our Associates will be wearing masks and screens have been installed at our front desk to protect the wellbeing of guests.

To limit unnecessary personal contact, we would recommend guests become a member of our loyalty scheme, Marriott Bonvoy and download the Marriott Bonvoy App, to take advantage of contactless check-in, check-out and mobile chat functions, making your stay as safe and seamless as possible. We are currently not offering valet service for parking. At this time, we are also not accepting any cash transactions.

Protecting the wellbeing of our guests and associates is always our top priority but never has it been more important. We have raised our exacting standards to an even higher level and implemented new hygiene and social distancing protocols and scientifically-supported practices as part of Marriott International's Commitment to Clean initiative. These include:

Enhanced Public Space Cleaning: We have increased the frequency of cleaning and disinfection, particularly in areas with high traffic and have provided a number of hand sanitisation stations throughout.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Staff members will wear appropriate PPE (e.g., face coverings, gloves, etc.) based on the activities they are performing. We would encourage guests who can do so to wear personal face coverings in public areas.

Electrostatic Spraying: We're utilising enhanced technologies, including electrostatic sprayers with hospital-grade disinfectants, to support our already rigorous cleanliness protocols.

Temperature checking: All guests are encouraged all associates will use our thermal imaging cameras to monitor their temperatures.

Room Amenities: In-room tea and coffee making facilities are not currently available, however, all guests are welcome to enjoy refreshments in our newly revamped Lounge on the ground floor. Disinfectant wipes are available in the room for every arriving guest as well as upon request.

Housekeeping: Prior to your arrival, your room will be deep cleaned in line with our elevated, rigorous protocols. To protect guests and limit contact with our teams, daily housekeeping services will be available on request only. However, as standard and to maintain the utmost levels of cleanliness and hygiene, all rooms will be serviced every 3rd day.

One Spa's fitness centre, swimming pool, poolside sauna and rooftop Hydropool will reopen on Monday, 16th August.

At this time, the Thermal Suite in One Spa remains temporarily closed. We apologise for any inconvenience this might cause.

One Square Bar and Terrace is now open. Guests can enjoy delicious dishes and drinks with stunning views of Edinburgh Castle.

At this time, One Square Brasserie is temporarily closed. Apologies for the inconvenience this may cause. Hotel guests are invited to join us for our usual breakfast service in the Atrium.

Thank you for your understanding in cases where we may have to offer an alternative. Marriott Bonvoy members are invited to use the Marriott Bonvoy App (available on the App Store and Google Play) to take advantage of contactless options, including:

  • Mobile Check-In/Check-Out: Let us know via the app when you are planning to arrive and once you departed.
  • Mobile Key: Forgo the front desk altogether and go straight to your guest room
  • Mobile Dining: Order your private, in-room dining through the app.
  • Mobile Guest Requests: Connect with us via the app to request items you would like delivered to your guest room.

Available benefits vary by location and membership tier. At this hotel, please note that we currently offer the following Marriott Bonvoy benefits:


  • Breakfast: Platinum, Titanium and Ambassador level can choose to have a full breakfast as their welcome amenity.
  • Lounge Access: Our full club lounge service is temporarily suspended however we are offering complimentary tea and coffee.
  • Welcome Gift: Ambassadors, Titanium, Platinum receive 1,000 pts per stay or a full traditional Scottish breakfast per stay. Gold Elite receive 500 pts per stay.
  • Late Check-Out: Available to 14:00 (subject to availability) to Gold Elite members, Platinum and above are guaranteed 16:00 checkout.
  • Mobile Check-In/Check-Out: Available for all Bonvoy members
  • Mobile Guest Requests: Available to all Bonvoy members
