In keeping with Marriott's Commitment to Clean, we have made several enhancements to our cleaning practices throughout our property and in guest rooms. These include:

  • Enhanced Public Space Cleaning: We have increased the frequency of cleaning and disinfection, particularly in areas with high traffic including restrooms, elevators, and escalators as well as provided more hand sanitizing stations.
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Staff members will wear PPE (e.g., face coverings, gloves, etc.) based on the activities they are performing and based on direction by the local authorities. Guests are required to wear personal face coverings in public areas.
  • Electrostatic Spraying: We're utilizing enhanced technologies, including electrostatic sprayers with hospital-grade disinfectants, to support our already rigorous cleanliness protocols.
  • Temperature screening for our associates as well as vendors at any entry points

All our staff has been properly trained as to enhance cleaning protocols, in addition to constant training on related topics such as proper use of chemicals and cleaning processes in the rooms and public areas.

Full Housekeeping service will be provided every 3rd day to minimize entry to guestroom. Amenities, linen and terry are provided upon request, if needed.

As part of our practices we remove ALL linen and amenities from the room after each guest departure, we then proceed with the regular cleaning of the room in compliance with all our Marriott standards, once this cleaning is completed, we add a disinfecting process with the appropriate chemicals, focusing specially in all highly touch point or areas, such as table top, handle, switches, remote, lamps etc. After each room is done with both processes, a proper inspection is followed to ensure full compliance before making the room available back in inventory for our next guest.

The housekeeper will leave a note in the nightstand certifying with her/his name, date and time that this room was completely disinfected using all the guidelines and protocols.

In the public areas in addition to our regular cleaning process; we added staff in charge of only disinfecting all high touch point throughout the hotel with special focus on the lobby area, elevators and bathrooms; ensuring that all table tops, Front Desk counter, entrance handles, bathroom faucets, elevator buttons etc.. are constantly disinfected through the day. At the end of the day in the overnight shift we complement our disinfection process with the use of an Electrostatic sprayer.

Additional information for Unvaccinated Travelers: please follow this link.

Pre-Arrival Process

1.    Apply to travel to Cayman:  All travellers to the Cayman Islands are required to create an account and complete the online travel declaration form via the Travel Cayman portal.  Once this completed form is submitted and approved by Travel Cayman they will send an approved travel certificate back to you that is valid for 90 days from the date of your application.  Please ensure that the date on the approval letter coincides with your dates of travel.
2.    Uploading your vaccination records (during the Travel Cayman application process)
a.    With QR Code:  To be considered a securely verified vaccinated traveller, you will be required to scan/upload your vaccination QR code to the Travel Cayman portal.  Once your QR code has been successfully entered into the Travel Cayman portal you will receive an on-screen message that your health record has been verified.  If you navigate back to the dashboard by clicking "Go to Travel Declaration" you will be able to download your travel declaration right there.  Please print this page and keep it with your other travel documents.  This declaration is good for 3 months.  Please also print your QR code onto paper in case you cannot connect to Wi-Fi once inside the airport.
b.    Without QR Code: If your vaccination center did not provide a QR code, but you have a vaccination card (i.e. the CDC card from the US) you are considered unverifiable and will need to use the manual verification process within the Travel Cayman portal.  Select "no" on the screen that asks, "Are you and all the individuals you are travelling with securely verifiable?" In the blue box on the next page, you will be asked to follow a link to fill out a simple form about you and your traveling companions.  Within the form there is an area to upload your vaccination card/certificate.  Once you click submit, the form will be sent to Travel Cayman for manual verification, and you should receive an email with your travel declaration page within about 24 hours.  This declaration is valid for 1 month.  Please have your vaccination card/certificate easily accessible as you may be asked for it during the airport exit process.

3.    Certified antigen tests (PCR/LFT(lateral flow test)): All travelers, age 5 and over, to the Cayman Islands must produce certified proof of a negative covid result from a test taken no earlier than one (1) day prior to departure.  LFT/PCR results will be requested upon check-in when departing your home country.  When departing from the US, UK, or Canada you can use the AZOVA app for an at home certified test.

Upon Arrival at the Airport

1.    Present approval letter: Upon arrival at the Cayman Islands airport, you will be asked to present your approval letter from Travel Cayman.  Keep a printed copy with the rest of your travel documents in case you cannot access to Wi-Fi in the airport. Keep all travel documents easily accessible as you may be required to present them a few times as you make your way through the airport during the exit process.

2.    Present QR Code: You may be required to present your QR code or vaccination card/certificate at the airport during your exit process.  Please print out a copy of your QR code or card/certificate if it is digital and please keep them easily accessible.
For more details and frequently asked questions about which codes, cards, or certificates are acceptable please visit the secure vaccination documents page.

Upon Departure from the Cayman Islands

1.    Verified LFT, PCR, Antigen test - Traveling to or through the US: Effective December 6, 2021, all non-immigrant, non-citizen air travelers to the United States will be required to be fully vaccinated and to provide proof of vaccination status prior to boarding an airplane to the United States.  U.S citizens who are fully vaccinated will need to present airlines with proof of vaccination  and of a negative COVID-19 test no more than one (1) day before their flight.  There is also an option for people who have documented recovery from COVID-19 in the past 90 days, please follow this link for more details.
You can take your certified exit LFT or PCR (antigen test) with the nurse practitioners from Doctor's Hospital stationed here in our hotel for your convenience.  They will provide a certified copy of your results that you will need to present to the airline at check-in when departing the Cayman Islands.  The cost for the test will be the responsibility of the traveler.  The cost for LFT is $25 KYD ($30 USD) and the cost for PCR is $150 KYD ($183 USD).
