Hotel Information

For more information on Marriott's Commitment to Cleanliness, please visit our corporate site.
The safety of our guests and associates is a top priority. As guidance regarding face coverings and vaccination verification varies by local jurisdiction and may change, guests should review public information websites for the most up-to-date guidance for your destination, as well as the hotel-specific sections below and US and Canada Travel Advisories | Marriott Bonvoy™ before traveling. Unless it is required by local law or order, fully vaccinated guests are no longer required to wear face coverings or social distance in indoor or outdoor areas of the hotel. We ask that all unvaccinated guests continue to wear face coverings and practice social distancing when they are in public spaces inside the hotel.
  • As of September 15, 2021, the County of Maui has enacted "Safer Outside." For entrance into indoor restaurants, bars, and other food or social establishments, throughout the Island of Maui, all guests 12 years of age and older are required to provide proof of an approved COVID-19 full vaccination, along with valid picture identification. All guests are welcome to dine outdoors or enjoy take out service. Children under the age of 12 are exempt. Please visit https://mauicounty.gov/DocumentCenter/View/125111/COM_Public-Health-Emergency-Rules for detailed information on County of Maui's "Safer Outside" program.

  • The State of Hawaii has mandated that face coverings must be worn when in indoor public areas and appropriate social distancing practices are to remain in place, regardless of vaccination status. Masks are recommended when outdoors in crowded settings. At our resort, fully vaccinated guests are not required to wear masks in areas such as the pool and pool bars, which are considered outdoors. For indoor and partially enclosed public spaces such as our lobby and restaurants, all guests, regardless of vaccination status, are required to wear masks.

  • As the island of Maui is still limiting the overall occupancies for restaurants and activities, we highly recommend that guests make reservations for activities, dining and rental cars in advance of their visit. Contact our concierge via email at smc@aqualani.com for assistance.
  • There is signage throughout our hotel to remind guests to maintain social distancing, occupancy limits and seating capacities reductions in our restaurants and amenities in compliance with local and state mandates, and partitions installed at front desks and food and beverage service lines.
  • Mobile check-in is available via the Marriott Bonvoy™ mobile app.

In keeping with Marriott's Commitment to Clean, we have made several enhancements to our cleaning practices throughout our property and in guest rooms. These include:

  • Enhanced Public Space Cleaning: We have increased the frequency of cleaning and disinfection, particularly in areas with high traffic, including restrooms, elevators, and escalators, as well as provided more hand sanitizing stations.
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Associates will wear PPE (e.g., face coverings, gloves, etc.) based on the activities they are performing and based on direction by the local authorities.
  • Electrostatic Spraying: We're utilizing enhanced technologies, including electrostatic sprayers with hospital-grade disinfectants in our public spaces, to support our already rigorous cleanliness protocols.
  • Room Amenities: Disinfectant wipes are available in the room for every arriving guest as well as upon request.
  • Housekeeping: Your guest room is your sanctuary throughout your stay with us. We have deeply cleaned your room in preparation for your arrival. If you have any requests, we will be happy to assist; simply let us know when you will be leaving for the day and we will do the rest.

As of September 15, 2021, the County of Maui has enacted "Safer Outside." In accordance with the County requirement for entrance into The Spa at Black Rock and our fitness center, all guests 12 years of age and older are required to provide proof of an approved COVID-19 full vaccination, along with valid picture identification.
