Marriott's Commitment to Clean provides cleaner, safer spaces for our Owners, guests and associates. So you can vacation with confidence. And focus on what matters most: time together. For details, learn more about Our Next Level of Clean.
The safety of our guests and associates is a top priority. As guidance regarding face coverings and vaccination verification varies by local jurisdiction and may change, guests should review public information websites for the most up-to-date guidance for your destination, as well as the hotel-specific sections below and US and Canada Travel Advisories | Marriott Bonvoy™ before traveling. Fully vaccinated guests are no longer required to wear face coverings or social distance in indoor or outdoor areas of the hotel, unless required by local law.
A full spectrum of social distancing guidelines have been implemented throughout each property, including:

  • Altered traffic flow to support 6-foot spacing
  • Removed brochure racks
  • Removed unnecessary furnishings
  • Installation of signage across the property campus to remind Owners, guests, and associates of social distancing requirements.
  • Reduction of seating in common areas, such as lobbies
  • Closure of every other stall in common area restrooms
  • Limitations on occupancy in fitness centers and removal of certain equipment, where applicable.
  • Reductions in pool deck seating, where applicable
  • Continued closure of activities centers and kid's clubs. where applicable
In keeping with Our Next Level of Clean and Marriott's Commitment to Clean, we have made several enhancements to our cleaning practices throughout our property and accommodations. These include:

Enhanced Public Space Cleaning. With increased frequency and enhanced cleaning tools, you'll get a heightened level of clean and health safety throughout shared areas. You will find hand sanitizer stations at high-traffic public spaces like the lobby, front desk, elevator landings, food & beverage entrances and fitness center entrances.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). All associates will wear PPE (e.g., face coverings, gloves, etc.) based on the activities they are performing and based on direction by the local authorities.

Electrostatic Spraying. We're utilizing enhanced technologies, including electrostatic sprayers with hospital-grade disinfectants, to support our already rigorous cleanliness protocols.

Your Clean Home Away from Home

All of your private vacation spaces now undergo an even more robust regimen of cleaning protocols.

  • Hospital-grade disinfectants are used in every villa/room, before every check-in.
  • Disinfectant wipes are available in the villa/room for every arriving guest as well as upon request.
  • Each villa/room is thoroughly cleaned and disinfected, with particular attention paid to high-touch surfaces, such as light switches, door handles, remote controls, countertops, climate controls, and appliance doors using hospital-grade disinfectants
  • Removal and replacement of all unused linen/terry from villas/rooms
  • Removal and replacement of all unused bathroom amenities, such as soap and shampoo
  • Removal and replacement of all opened paper products, such as toilet and facial tissues
  • In support of continued enhanced public area cleaning, enhanced villa/room departure cleans, and for the health and safety of property associates, daily housekeeping service, such as daily tidies, is currently unavailable.

General Property Updates

Rebranding of the Co-Located Hotel

 

As you may know, the hotel with which Marriott's Kauai Beach Club shares a campus has changed management and been re-branded as the Royal Sonesta Kauai Resort Lihue hotel effective March 24, 2021. Please note, however, that Marriott's Kauai Beach Club continues to be branded as a Marriott Vacation Club resort. Below is information regarding what Owners and guests can expect in connection with future stays at Marriott's Kauai Beach Club.


UPDATE: Marriott's Kauai Beach Club Owners and guests will continue to access the resort through arrival at the existing hotel porte-cochere. Owners and guests will check-in at a separate location in the new Marriott Vacation Club Owner and Guest Services area, dedicated to Marriott Vacation Club, NOT in the main hotel lobby.


To check-in: When arriving at the resort, enter through the porte-cochere, take the escalator down and follow the directional signs along the pathway to Marriott's Kauai Beach Club, passing the entrance to the main hotel lobby (on your left) and taking a right at Lamonts toward the end of the pathway. The Marriott Vacation Club Owner and Guest Services area will be located on your left, adjacent to the Owner Relations office.


Owners and guests staying at Marriott's Kauai Beach Club continue to enjoy access to hotel amenities, such as the swimming pool, fitness center, lobby and whirlpool spas. Additionally, hotel amenities such as the restaurants, bars, and retail shops, which are available to the public, are currently available to Owners and guests of Marriott's Kauai Beach Club on the same basis as they are to the general public.


Marriott Bonvoy members may earn Marriott Bonvoy points for stays at Marriott's Kauai Beach Club and may utilize their Marriott Bonvoy points to stay at Marriott's Kauai Beach Club, all in accordance with the existing rules under the Marriott Bonvoy program.

All Owners and guests must be physically present at check-in to verify their quarantine exemption status through the Hawaii Safe Travels website.

The complimentary Resort Shuttle is available on demand and currently only operating to and from the airport. There currently is no Resort Shuttle service between Marriott's Kauai Beach Club and Marriott's Kauai Lagoons, Kalanipu'u.

Construction Notices

  • The colocated Royal Sonesta Kauai Resort is renovating guest rooms and common areas, with construction expected through December 2023. Please anticipate noise from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.

 

Service Animal Policy

Service animals that perform work or tasks are welcome at the resort, but family pets are not permitted. Bringing a pet to the resort will result in a Room Recovery Fee. In the event we discover that you have brought a pet to the resort, you will be charged a Room Recovery Fee in the amount of $500 per pet, and you will be asked to take your pet to a local, third-party boarding facility.

Please be aware that in some locations, misrepresenting a pet as a service animal is a misdemeanor and will result in a monetary penalty and/or imprisonment.

At Marriott's Kaua'i Beach Club, enjoy complimentary wireless Internet in all guest rooms, parlors, villas and public areas. We also do not charge resort fees.
