Required Arrival documents in regards to COVID-19

To ensure the safety of all, HPA has made it a mandatory requirement for all tourists (including those who have completed the prescribed dose(s) of a Covid-19 vaccine) to present a negative result for a Nucleic Acid Test (PCR test) for Covid-19 on arrival. The sample for said PCR test must be taken not more than 96 hours prior to the scheduled time of departure from the first port of embarkation en-route to the Maldives. However, children below one year old are exempted from the aforementioned requirement.

The online submission of the IMUGA Health Declaration Form via is mandatory both for incoming and outgoing passengers which should not be completed more than 24 hours prior to the arrival and departure to and from the Maldives.

We kindly request you to attach the negative PCR Test result to the IMUGA Health Declaration Form in order to avoid immigration delays upon arrival to the Maldives.

In addition to the above, passengers arriving from South Asian countries (Afghanistan, Pakistan, India, Nepal, Bhutan, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka) are required to take a PCR test between 48 (forty-eight) hours and 72 (seventy-two) hours of their arrival to the Maldives.

Travelers to the Maldives are required to comply with the requirements of the Maldives' Ministry of Health/Health Protection Agency and policies adopted by hotels in connection with the COVID-19 situation. This includes the random sampling and testing of passengers at Velana International Airport as part of the active surveillance for COVID-19, conducted by the International Border Health, Maldives Immigration, Maldives Airports Company Limited and the Health Emergency Operation Centre.

The well-being of our guests and associates is of the utmost importance to us and we will unfortunately not be able to accommodate confirmed COVID-19 positive guests or guests showing symptoms of COVID-19. Guests will be solely responsible for bearing any associated expenses related to being confirmed as COVID-19 positive or having symptoms of COVID-19, including any quarantine requirements or flight cancellations. We encourage you to obtain information from the embassies and airlines for the latest travel advice before traveling and strongly recommend taking out appropriate travel insurance cover prior to your departure.

Inter-Resort Tourist Movements

As the wellbeing of our guests and associates is of utmost importance to us, we would like to inform you that it is compulsory for all guests (including those who have completed the prescribed dose(s) of a Covid-19 vaccine) traveling to JW Marriott Maldives from any other resort, hotel, guesthouse or safari vessel within the Maldives, to present a negative result for a Nucleic Acid Test (PCR test) for Covid-19 prior to arrival to the resort. Please note that the said PCR test must be in the English language and has to be conducted within a maximum of 48 hours prior to arrival at JW Marriott Maldives.
