Providing a safer environment for our guests and associates is a top priority. Achieving this is a shared responsibility. Please join us in our efforts to enhance the safety of our public spaces by complying with local regulations, practicing social distancing (staying at least 6 feet or 2 meters from other guests and hotel associates), and wearing face coverings whenever you're in public areas of the hotel. We have been granted the Health & Safety Portuguese Tourism Board certification
Hotel is certified and held regular audits on HACCP ( Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) is an internationally recognized method of identifying and managing food safety related risk)

Your Journey with us….

Pre Arrival
  • Whenever you ask us for an Airport/Train Station Transfer to/from the Hotel :
  • We work with certified transfer companies who follow the below rules:
  • Driver wears protective mask Car is disinfected at every arrival/change
  • Hand sanitizer is available for passengers

Shuttle services, Metro and Bus transportation, in Portugal, are obliged to:
  • Reduce number of passengers inside ( to allow social distancing) ; There is a barrier for driver protection
  • Passengers are obliged to wear mask

Should you decide for your own transportation, Check (as a minimum) that :
  • Driver wears protective mask
  • You Wear Mask

Upon arrival:
  • The use of mask upon arrival ,as well as while circulating in Hotel public areas, is mandatory for guests and associates
  • You will find a hand sanitizer totem at the Lobby entrance and we kindly ask you to use it upon each entrance in the Hotel

To avoid unnecessary entrances in your vehicle, Valet parking services have been removed for the next 30 days so we kindly ask you to park your car in the Hotel Parking .However, should you want/need us to park your car, our doorman will disinfect and clean driver seat and steering wheel before entering and after parking it

Our associates will wear gloves to carry your luggage to your room and luggage trolleys are disinfected regularly
As you may be aware,we are a non smoking Hotel .In order to avoid lack of social distancing between smokers and other non smoking guests, we have removed smoking area from main doors and we have kept the smoking spot near the bar

Check In:
  • Our reception will have protective glass
  • Our receptionists will wear face protective visors
  • Portuguese law obliges your ID presentation at check in. Passport scan is being used
  • Pens and keys will be disinfected after each use
  • We kindly ask you to respect the floor guidelines for social distancing
  • We will offer our health and safety SOP in place at check in, for your information and guidance during your stay

Into your room:
  • Our elevators have been programmed to reduce the accepted capacity to a maximum of 4 people (this may cause a bit more delay to catch the elevators)
  • You will find hand disinfectants inside the elevators . Please use them before and after using the elevator buttons

Your in Room Journey
  • You will find all information of Hotel services in your TV menu
  • You will find Health and safety guidelines followed by the Hotel in your TV menu
  • We want you to stay informed whilst safe , so during this period , newspapers will not be delivered to the room, we suggest you download Pressreader app and choose your preferred (worldwide) press as a courtesy of our Hotel

In keeping with Marriott's Commitment to Clean, we have notice made several enhancements to our cleaning practices throughout our property and in guest rooms. These include:

 

  • Enhanced Public Space Cleaning. We have increased the frequency of cleaning and disinfection, particularly in areas with high traffic including restrooms, elevators, and escalators as well as provided more hand sanitizing stations.
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Staff members will wear PPE (e.g., face coverings, gloves, etc.) based on the activities they are performing and based on direction by the local authorities. Guests are welcome to wear personal face coverings.
  • Electrostatic Spraying. We're utilizing enhanced technologies, including electrostatic sprayers with hospital-grade disinfectants, to support our already rigorous cleanliness protocols.
  • Room cleaning during your stay ,unless you otherwise require ,will be done daily as usual. Should you wish to have it done daily , please let us know and give us your preferred schedule to do so
  • Should you, by any chance, need a non urgent repair in your room ,we will ask you to schedule the time you will not be inside.
  • Laundry requests should be asked through our guest service center to schedule drop in and drop off timings.


Minibar will be provided in your room upon your request. Please contact the Guest service center


Tea/coffee kettle , waters and cutlery will be put in your room (duly sanitized) before your scheduled arrival. Should you wish any additional item or a refresh please contact us at the guest service center



Every guest room is thoroughly cleaned and disinfected prior to your arrival. We will provide housekeeping cleaning services after your third night with us and while you are away from the room. If you'd like to receive additional daily cleaning, simply let our team know and we will gladly take care of it.

Public areas:

 

  • All our indoor public areas such as lobby,corridors, bar, …. Are regularly mopped and Vacuumed with Hepa filters
  • All high intensity touch places such as doors, door knobs, tables, draws, etc are regularly disinfected by our staff
  • Hand sanitizers are spread in these areas as well as public guestrooms access , lobby , bar , for your usage


Departure:

 

  • We kindly ask you to respect the floor guidelines for social distancing in front of reception Desk
  • Please handover your room keys for desinfectting procedures
  • Please let us know your check out scheduling plans in advance so that your invoice may be made ready
  • Disinfect your hands before departing



THE SPA:

 

  • The Spa is open, at this moment ,with some equipment restrictions. Please ask our reception for more information To use the Sheraton Fitness please schedule your preferred time as there are some capacity rules. Book with our reception or directly with the THE SPA
  • Please If you like running, please contact the Guest service center for our circuit recommendation
  • Should you wish to schedule a Personal training session in our garden , please contact guest Service Ce

Restaurant / Bar:

 

  • Our restaurant will be open from 07h00 - 11h00 (breakfast) |12h30-15h00 (lunch) |20h00 - 23H00 (dinner) /daily
  • Our restaurant has permanent exterior insuflated air. There is no air re circulation
  • Restaurant has been redesigned to keep social distancing guidelines and we kindly ask you to wear your mask while circulating
  • Please disinfect your hands upon entering and when leaving the restaurant
  • Tables are disinfected after each use
  • You will find transparent protective barriers in some areas. Our associates will be most pleased to bring your choices to your table-
  • At breakfast, Coffee and orange juice Machines will be disinfected regularly during service
  • During this period, we will use disposable napkins
  • Our associates will wear mask and face protection.Hands will be higienized as needed
  • At lunch and dinner, during this period, we will work with a daily menu which you may also ask for in room service
  • We recommend making your reservation for your lunch and dinner required schedule
  • At this stage the New Yorker Bar will be temporarily working with a reduced schedule ( 11h00 -19h00)
  • Club Lounge is temporarily closed. Please contact the front desk for access for its provided service and we will be pleased to send it to your room


Room service:

 

  • We will apply no extra charge for in room delivery
  • Food will be protected and should you wish us to leave the service without contacting you, let us know and, we will do so.If these instructions are not given by you, we will deliver the service to you personally,without entering the room at this stage.
  • At this stage, the room service will operate with a limited menu

  • Together with the meetings and events organizers, we study the layouts of meeting rooms and banqueting areas in order to respect social distancing
  • Our meeting rooms have permanent exterior insulated air. There is no air re circulation
  • Meeting and Banqueting Rooms are regularly sanitized with handheld electrostatic sprayers
  • The use of mask is required during the events
  • Please disinfect your hands upon entering and when leaving the Meeting/event
  • Our associates will wear mask and face protection and hands will be higienized as needed
  • More details will be informed according to what is defined for each event, and will be given to you by your event organizer
