We have further raised our already diligent cleaning standards and protocols, while making some tweaks to our services, amenities, and facilities available during your stay.

Providing a safer environment for our guests and associates is a top priority. Achieving this is a shared responsibility. Please join us in our efforts to enhance the safety of our public spaces by complying with local regulations, practicing social distancing (staying at least 6 feet or 2 meters from other guests and hotel associates), and wearing face coverings whenever you're in indoor public areas of the hotel. In keeping with Marriott's Commitment to Clean, we have made several enhancements to our cleaning practices throughout our property and in guest rooms. These include:

 

  • Enhanced Public Space Cleaning: We have increased the frequency of cleaning and disinfection, particularly in areas with high traffic including restrooms, elevators, and escalators as well as provided more hand sanitizing stations.
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Staff members will wear PPE (e.g., face coverings, gloves, etc.) based on the activities they are performing and based on direction by the local authorities. Guests are required to wear personal face coverings in public areas.
  • Electrostatic Spraying: We're utilizing enhanced technologies, including electrostatic sprayers with hospital-grade disinfectants, to support our already rigorous cleanliness protocols.
  • Temperature screening for our associates as well as vendors at any entry points.
  • Temperature screening for guest at all entry points.
  • In-room coffee makers are not currently available, but guests can request contactless coffee delivery.

Every guest room is thoroughly cleaned and disinfected prior to your arrival. During your stay, we will not provide housekeeping automatically every day. If you wish to receive daily housekeeping refresh service, please let our guest services team know. We will be happy to schedule service according to your preferences. Please note that if you are staying with us a bit longer, we will automatically clean your guest room after every 6th night.

We are committed to making the amenities and services at our property available to you while complying with local regulations, including guidance on reducing capacity in public spaces and reinforcing social distancing. The modifications we have made include:

 

  • Splash Pool: Open at 30% capacity daily from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM, social distancing guidelines must be followed.
  • RE:CHARGE Fitness Center: Open daily from 6:00 AM to 7:00 PM, reservations required as there is a limit of maximum 4 people at a time. Sessions will be limited to one hour.

Please note below our current service hours for our different outlets:

 

  • RE:FUEL: Daily for breakfast from 6:30 AM to 10:30 AM Monday through Friday and from 7:00 AM to 11:00 AM Saturday and Sunday.
  • Splash Pool Bar: Thursday through Sunday from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM
  • WXYZ: Daily from 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM, seating service in lounge only.

The World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC) granted its Safe Travels Stamp to the Puerto Rico Tourism Company (PRTC), making Puerto Rico the first U.S. destination to be included in the certification program created by the prestigious international organization.

The Safe Travels Stamp program was established by the WTTC in order to assist destinations increase consumers' confidence levels and better prepare them to restart the travel and tourism sector on a local and global scale. The certification is given to destinations and tourism-related businesses that comply with the organization's standards and therefore, guarantee the reactivation of Tourism in a safe and secure manner. The stamp allows travelers to clearly identify airports, hotels, restaurants, airlines, cruise ships, ground transportation operators, and other businesses that uphold the hygiene and sanitation best practices and standards required from members of the program.

Puerto Rico is enforcing local measures developed by the Puerto Rico Tourism Company (PRTC), alongside U.S. Travel Association (USTA) guidelines, such as social distancing, and high standards of cleanliness in accordance with CDC and EPA guidelines. Masks are required in all indoor spaces, regardless of vaccination status. 

 

Beginning August 16th, vaccinations will be required for both employees and guests of all hotels, paradores, guesthouses, and short-term rentals across the Island. Those not vaccinated must present a negative PCR or antigen test taken within 72 hours of the beginning of their visit. Please also take into consideration the following:

 

  • If staying longer than one week, it is required to present negative tests on a weekly basis.
  • Those not vaccinated are required to present negative tests on a weekly basis.
  • Mask usage is a federal law on airplanes and in airports.

 

All arriving passengers to Puerto Rico's three open airports must complete an online Travel Declaration Form. Both international/not vaccinated travelers must also upload a negative PCR molecular or antigen COVID-19 test result to the portal. Please note:

 

  • Fully vaccinated travelers on domestic flights are required to upload official Vaccination Card, as proof of vaccination through the Travel Declaration Form portal. Travelers are required to upload their official vaccination card. A copy will not be accepted. 
  • Non-vaccinated travelers are required to provide evidence of either a PCR molecular or antigen COVID-19 test taken within 72 hours of arrival. If the traveler arrives without a test, they must upload either a PCR molecular or antigen COVID-19 test taken on the Island, within 48 hours of arrival, or they will receive a $300 fine. If the uploaded result is negative, the quarantine is lifted. If the result is positive, the person must isolate and follow the local isolation protocol at his/her own expense.
  • International travelers, regardless of vaccination status, are required to provide evidence of either a PCR molecular or antigen COVID-19 test taken within 72 hours of arrival. If the traveler arrives without a test, they will be required to upload either a PCR molecular or antigen COVID-19 test taken on the Island, within 48 hours of arrival, or they will receive a $300 fine. If the uploaded result is negative, the quarantine is lifted. If the result is positive, the person must isolate and follow the local isolation protocol at his/her own expense.

 

Note: Definition of Fully Vaccinated

One person is considered fully vaccinated two (2) weeks after the second dose was administered for the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines, or two (2) weeks after receiving the only dose of the Johnson & Johnson's Janssen vaccine.

BEFORE GOING HOME - US AND CANADA NEGATIVE TEST REQUIREMENT 


Given Puerto Rico is a U.S. territory, the destination is excluded from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) requirement to provide a negative COVID-19 test result for persons traveling from Puerto Rico to the mainland United States.
