Providing a safer environment for our guests and associates is a top priority. Achieving this is a shared responsibility. Please join us in our efforts to enhance the safety of our public spaces by complying with local regulations, practicing social distancing (staying at least 6 feet or 2 meters from other guests and hotel associates), and wearing face coverings whenever you're in public areas of the hotel. We do appreciate your support and understanding.

Guests at The Sheraton Puerto Rico Hotel & Casino will notice a number of additions to our cleaning regimen designed to set an even higher standard of cleanliness.


  • Signage throughout our resort to remind guests to maintain social distancing. Furniture is re-arranged to allow more space for distancing.
  • Seating capacities in our restaurants are reduced in compliance with local government mandates.
  • Partitions installed at front desks, concierge and hostess stands to provide an extra level of precaution.
  • The Marriott Bonvoy mobile app offers contactless services such as; Mobile Check In, Mobile Check Out, Mobile Key and mobile request delivered straight to your room.
  • The Casino is open to public at limited capacity, social distancing is created by shutting down machines in between and eliminating sitting from playing tables

In keeping with Marriott's Commitment to Clean, we have made several enhancements to our cleaning practices throughout our property and in guest rooms.


  • Our public spaces, surfaces are thoroughly treated with hospital-grade disinfectants with increased frequency.
  • Hand sanitizing stations are available at the entrance of hotel, near the front desk, elevator banks, fitness center, spa, meeting spaces and pool area.
  • In addition to temperature checks at the start of each shift, staff members will wear face coverings to perform their duties.
  • It is required to wear personal face coverings in all public areas.
Your guest room is your sanctuary throughout your stay with us. To minimize contact, housekeeping services will be every third day of your stay or upon your request. If you would like fresh towels, please place the used ones outside your door and dial "0" from your room to make this request or any other service needed. Our staff will be happy to assist you and will place requested items at your door.
Every guest room is thoroughly cleaned and disinfected prior to your arrival. During your stay, we will not provide housekeeping automatically every day. If you wish to receive daily housekeeping refresh service, please let our guest services team know. We will be happy to schedule service according to your preferences. Please note that if you are staying with us a bit longer, we will automatically clean your guest room after every 6th night.
Infinity Pool
Located on 4th level is available from 7:00a.m. until 10:00p.m. daily under the following rules: (a) the use of facemask is mandatory at all times except inside the pool as per local authorities regulations, (b) food and beverage consumption is not allowed inside the pool, (c) only registered guest with wristbands will have access. It is required that all guests observe rules and regulations to help us maintain a safety environment.

Our Fitness Center
Located on the 3rd level is available with limited capacity of 8 people at a time. You can access 24/7 with your key. We recommend wiping out equipment before and after use.

Casino Metro
Open daily from 6:00a.m. until 9:00p.m. Experience the excitement of Puerto Rico's best casino with slot machines and table games.

Zen Spa Retreat
Located on the 3rd level is open Wednesday to Monday from 9:00a.m. until 5:00p.m. Tuesdays are closed.
The Café
Located at the lobby is open every day from 6:00a.m. until 10:00p.m. offering breakfast, lunch, dinner and a variety of beverages options.

The Bay Pool & Bar & Grille
Located on the 4th level, is available with a variety of meal options from 11:00a.m. until 7:00p.m.

Metropol Restaurant
Cuban and Puerto Rican cuisine located at the lobby level, open daily for lunch and dinner from 11:00a.m. until 9:00p.m. Please note this restaurant is operating with limited seating following local regulations. Take out is also available.

Texas de Brazil Steakhouse
Located in the lobby level next to the casino. Open Sunday through Thursday from 12:00p.m. until 9:00p.m. and, Friday and Saturday from 12:00p.m. until 10:00p.m. Please note that this restaurant is operating with limited seating following local regulations.

Sheraton Club Lounge, In room dining and The District Lounge & Sushi Bar are currently closed until further notice.

The World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC) granted its Safe Travels Stamp to the Puerto Rico Tourism Company (PRTC), making Puerto Rico the first U.S. destination to be included in the certification program created by the prestigious international organization.

The Safe Travels Stamp program was established by the WTTC in order to assist destinations increase consumers' confidence levels and better prepare them to restart the travel and tourism sector on a local and global scale. The certification is given to destinations and tourism-related businesses that comply with the organization's standards and therefore, guarantee the reactivation of Tourism in a safe and secure manner. The stamp allows travelers to clearly identify airports, hotels, restaurants, airlines, cruise ships, ground transportation operators, and other businesses that uphold the hygiene and sanitation best practices and standards required from members of the program.

Our hotel has been certified and received the certification seal in compliance with this program.

Puerto Rico is enforcing local measures developed by the Puerto Rico Tourism Company (PRTC), alongside U.S. Travel Association (USTA) guidelines, such as social distancing, mandatory face coverings in public areas, and a variety of mandates for businesses - including, but not limited to, reduced capacities and high standards of cleanliness in accordance with CDC and EPA guidelines. Tourism businesses and activities may operate from 5:00 a.m. to 12:00 a.m.


All arriving passengers to Puerto Rico's three open airports must complete an online Travel Declaration Form. Please note:


  • Fully vaccinated travelers flying in from any US domestic destination are no longer required a negative PCR molecular test result within 72 hours of arrival, as long as they can prove vaccination administration. Vaccinated passengers will have the opportunity to upload their official Vaccination Card through the Travel Declaration Form portal; or
  • Non-vaccinated travelers arriving from a US Domestic destination are still required to provide evidence of a pre-departure COVID-19 test taken within 72 hours of arrival. The negative result must be from a qualified SARS-CoV2 viral test; either a nucleic acid amplification test ("NAAT") or an antigen test; or
  • International arriving passengers, regardless of vaccination status, are required to provide evidence of a pre-departure negative COVID-19 test taken within 72 hours of arrival as required by the CDC. The negative result must be from a qualified SARS-CoV2 viral test; either a nucleic acid amplification test ("NAAT") or an antigen test taken at an authorized center.


Note: Definition of Fully Vaccinated
One person is considered fully vaccinated two (2) weeks after the second dose was administered for the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines, or two (2) weeks after receiving the only dose of the Johnson & Johnson's Janssen vaccine. 

Given Puerto Rico is a U.S. territory, the destination is excluded from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) requirement to provide a negative COVID-19 test result for persons traveling from Puerto Rico to the mainland United States.
