Providing a safer environment for our guests and associates is a top priority. Achieving this is a shared responsibility. Please join us in our efforts to enhance the safety of our public spaces by complying with local regulations, being respectful of personal choices with regards to social distancing and the wearing of face coverings. We do appreciate your support and understanding.
Prominent placement of hygiene measure signage and distance regulations signage help our guests to maintain social distancing, occupancy limits and seating capacities reductions in our restaurant, the common area and the elevator have been implemented in compliance with local and state mandates. Disinfection dispensers are placed in all public areas, contactless check in and payment is as a matter of course available. Our reception is equipped with plexiglass walls and all key cards are disinfected between stays.

In keeping with Marriott's Commitment to Clean, we have notice made several enhancements to our cleaning practices throughout our property and in guest rooms. These include:


  • Enhanced Public Space Cleaning: We have increased the frequency of cleaning and disinfection, particularly in areas with high traffic (e.g. elevators, luggage trolley) and high-touch surfaces (e.g. remote controls, glasses) as well as provided hand sanitizing stations in all common areas.
  • Enhanced guestroom cleaning: We have adapted the guestroom cleaning procedures to guarantee a deep cleaning of each guest room between two stays.
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Staff members will wear PPE (e.g. face masks, etc.) based on the activities they are performing and based on direction by the local authorities.

Every guest room is thoroughly cleaned and disinfected prior to your arrival. We will provide housekeeping cleaning services after your third night with us and while you are away from the room. If you’d like to receive additional daily cleaning, simply let our team know and we will gladly take care of it.

We are committed to making the amenities and services at our property available to you while complying with local regulations, including guidance on reducing capacity in public spaces and reinforcing social distancing.

According to the governmental monitoring system ("Corona-Ampel", a traffic light system that classifies every Austrian region depending on seven-day case numbers, hospital occupancy and other indicators) wearing a face mask is mandatory according to currently valid legislation. Please keep in mind that this might change again.

The Imperial Riding School Renaissance Vienna Hotel offers two restaurants and a lively bar in the Lobby. Seating is arranged in compliance with applicable governmental rules. Our chefs and waiters went through special safety trainings. Please note that high-touch surfaces receive a special handling and our cocktail equipment gets sanitized between each use. To ensure our guests' safety we also introduced modified procedures for garnishes and glassware.
  • Restaurant Borromäus: Enjoy our full American Breakfast in our Restaurant Borromäus on the ground floor.

  • Arsenal - Viennese "Wirtshaus": Delicious food, a fine selection of wine and historical atmosphere in our Restaurant Arsenal on the ground floor.
