The safety of our guests and associates is a top priority. As guidance regarding face coverings and vaccination verification varies by local jurisdiction and may change, guests should review public information websites for the most up-to-date guidance for your destination, as well as the hotel-specific sections below and US and Canada Travel Advisories | Marriott Bonvoy™ before traveling. Unless it is required by local law or order, fully vaccinated guests are no longer required to wear face coverings or social distance in indoor or outdoor areas of the hotel. We ask that all unvaccinated guests continue to wear face coverings and practice social distancing when they are in public spaces inside the hotel.
Our local Maryland state government requires face coverings. Additional trash cans and hand sanitizer stations are available for guest use.

Food and Beverage outlets: The Bench, the hotel's restaurant, is open for dinner. Fresh Bites, the Concierge Lounge and Mobile Dining are all currently unavailable. Restaurant options are available around the Rio Lakefront. For your convenience follow the link attached for more details www.riolakefront.com. 

Fitness Center: Open 24 hours.

Mobile check-in and key, service requests and room service orders delivered right to your door via the Marriott Bonvoy™ mobile app.

Enhanced Public Space Cleaning: We have frequent cleaning and disinfection of all our high-traffic areas including restrooms and elevators being conducted daily. We have also provided hand sanitizing stations on all guest room floors. 

Social Distancing Practices: While there are currently no mandates for social distancing in place, it is encouraged that guests continue to stand at lease 6 feet apart.You will see signage throughout the hotel promoting physical distancing and encouraging guests to stand at least 6 feet apart.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Associates will wear PPE (e.g. face coverings, gloves, etc.) based on the activities they are performing. Effective July 27, guests are required by our local government to wear face coverings in indoor public spaces.

Guest Rooms: Every guest room is thoroughly cleaned and disinfected between each guest with hospital graded chemicals. During your stay, we are happy to provide housekeeping refresh services on a request basis only. We will not automatically provide housekeeping services as we continue to minimize personal interactions. If your stay is more than 5 days, we will service your room at a time that must be scheduled with the hotel in advance.

We are committed to making the amenities and services at our property available to you while complying with local regulations, including guidance on reducing capacity in public spaces and reinforcing social distancing. The modifications we have made include:

Fitness Center: Open 24 hours
Restaurant: The Bench is open for dinner
Lounges: Closed
Starbucks: Saturday & Sunday 7am-12noon, Monday through Friday 6:30am-10am

If you choose to pick up food from a nearby restaurant you are welcome to eat in our restaurant or on our outdoor patio.

The Bench, our on-property restaurant, reopened with a reduced menu and hours.

  • Fast casual, American grab-and-Go options available Tuesday-Saturday from 5:00pm to 11:00pm

Starbucks is also open with the below hours of operation:

  • Saturday & Sunday, 7:00am to 12:00pm
  • Monday through Friday, 6:30am to 10:00am.

If you pick up food and beverage at a near by restaurant you are welcome to dine in our Restaurant or Patio.
