Hotel Information

The safety of our guests and associates is a top priority. As guidance regarding face coverings and vaccination verification varies by local jurisdiction and may change, guests should review public information websites for the most up-to-date guidance for your destination, as well as the hotel-specific sections below and US and Canada Travel Advisories | Marriott Bonvoy™ before traveling. Unless it is required by local law or order, fully vaccinated guests are no longer required to wear face coverings or social distance in indoor or outdoor areas of the hotel. We ask that all unvaccinated guests continue to wear face coverings and practice social distancing when they are in public spaces inside the hotel.

The Province of Alberta has implemented the Restrictions Exemption Program requiring proof of vaccination or negative rapid test result from the past 72 hours to enter all areas of the hotel (including ALL Restaurants, The Lobby Bar, The Executive Lounge, Spa by JW, Archetype Fitness, Pool and Steam rooms) other than guestrooms.  In order for the hotel to continue to operate as normal, the program will come into effect within all areas of the hotel.

Vaccination Requirement:

  • Single dose accepted between September 20 and October 25 if received 2 weeks before time of service. Double doses are required after October 25.

Valid and acceptable proof of vaccination at our hotel is identified as:

  • Original documentation from pharmacy or local health authority for in and out of province guests
  • An original print out of or the Alberta MyHealth Records mobile app - guests can find this by visiting: https://albertavaccinerecord.ca (QR attached for this site)
  • The Canadian Federal Government ArriveCAN mobile app
  • Official QR code mobile app from the Province of Alberta (Once available) or other provinces (If available)
  • All of the above must accompany a valid government issue photo ID

OR, Proof of a privately-paid negative PCR or rapid test within 72 hours of service with a valid government issued photo ID

  • Valid test results should be a written or printed copy that clearly outlines the type of test, time of sample collection, clear indication of a negative result, and laboratory that completed the test, if applicable.
  • Tests from AHS or Alberta Precision Laboratories are not allowed
  • Photos of a rapid test result taken offsite is not sufficient

OR, Documentation of Medical Exemption with the following information as outlined on the Government of Alberta website:

  • A valid medical exemption is the original signed letter from a physician or nurse practitioner that includes:
  • Person's name that matches their identification.
  • Physician's or nurse practitioner's complete information, including:
    • name, phone number, contact information, professional registration number and signature
    • statement that there is a medical reason for not being fully vaccinated against COVID-19
    • duration that the exemption is valid
  • NO deviation from the above requirements will be accepted as a valid exemption.

Guests that are unable to provide the above will not be permitted access to any areas of the hotel other than their guestroom, In Room Dining and reasonable time in areas required to navigate to and from their guestrooms.

 

Signage throughout our hotels to remind guests to maintain social distancing, occupancy limits and seating capacities in compliance with local and state mandates, and partitions installed at front desks and food and beverage service lines.

Mobile check-in and key, service requests, and room service orders delivered right to your door via the Marriott Bonvoy™ mobile app.

Valet Parking is available. Touch points within the vehicle are disinfected when our associate enters and when our associate brings the vehicle back.

Housekeeping Service: Every guest room is thoroughly cleaned and disinfected between each guest. We will provide housekeeping services every 72 hours. If you have any specific housekeeping preferences or would like to not receive housekeeping service during your stay, please contact guest services at any time. All requests can be made via the Marriott Bonvoy App.

In keeping with Marriott's Commitment to Clean, we have notice made several enhancements to our cleaning practices throughout our property and in guest rooms. These include:

Enhanced Public Space Cleaning. We have increased the frequency of cleaning and disinfection, particularly in areas with high traffic including restrooms, elevators, and escalators as well as provided more hand sanitizing stations.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Staff members will wear PPE (e.g., face coverings, gloves, etc.) based on the activities they are performing and based on direction by the local authorities. Guests are welcome to wear personal face coverings.

Electrostatic Spraying. We're utilizing enhanced technologies, including electrostatic sprayers with hospital-grade disinfectants, to support our already rigorous cleanliness protocols.

Room Amenities
• In-room coffee makers are not currently available, but guests can request contactless coffee delivery
• Disinfectant wipes are available in the room for every arriving guest as well as upon request


Every guest room is thoroughly cleaned and disinfected between each guest. We will continue to provide housekeeping services daily while you are away from the room. If you have any specific housekeeping preferences or would like to not receive housekeeping service during your stay, please contact guest services at any time.

We are committed to making the amenities and services at our property available to you while complying with local regulations, including guidance on reducing capacity in public spaces and reinforcing social distancing. The modifications we have made include:

Spa by JW is open. Our Hours are as follows:

  • Thursday: 1:00pm - 6:00pm
  • Friday: 11:00am - 6:00pm
  • Saturday: 9:00am - 7:00pm
  • Sunday: 9:00am - 6:00pm


Our 22nd Floor Executive Lounge is Open.


Archetype Fitness is open (group classes are available).


The leisure pool, steam room and hot tub are open.

The hotel has enacted the province of Alberta's Restrictions Exemption Program allowing for meetings and events to capacity.  Visit the restrictions and exemptions program drop down on this page for more information.

The hotel has undergone extensive adjustment to ensure we are complying with social distancing as well as enhanced cleanliness protocols. The Hotel has installed plexiglass on all buffet stations and are now offering attendants at each station to ensure proper handling of utensils.

Floor plans are also available for a variety of meeting rooms and set ups which strictly adhere to current social distancing guidelines.

Further, from our experience as being one of two professional hockey HUB Cities, World Junior Hockey and International Triathlon bubbles along with safely hosting a number of events, we have a variety of meeting solutions available for quote that include APP based symptom checking, integrated temperature readings as well as privately accommodated testing to ensure your guests feel comfortable throughout the conference or event.
