Providing a safer environment for our guests and associates is a top priority. Achieving this is a shared responsibility. Please join us in our efforts to enhance the safety of our public spaces by complying with local regulations and wearing a face covering - which is required - whenever you're in public areas of the hotel. We do appreciate your support and understanding. We remind you also to practice social distancing, staying at least 6 feet or 2 meters from other guests and hotel associates.

At the Metropolitan Hotel, your safety and well-being is our priority. We have enhanced cleaning measures in our guestrooms and our public spaces, ensuring our Associates and Guests are well protected and put at ease. We have put up signage throughout our hotel to remind Guests to maintain social distancing, occupancy limits, elevator & seating capacities. We encourage Guests to use the many features of the Marriott Bonvoy app for contactless service to check in, communicate with our Associates and check out. This can be used before, during and after your stay.

In respect of our new social distancing protocols, the following services/amenities are currently unavailable:

  • Daily Housekeeping Services

In keeping with Marriott's Commitment to Clean, we have notice made several enhancements to our cleaning practices throughout our property and in guest rooms. These include:



Enhanced Cleaning: Protocols for every space of the hotel; especially for high-traffic spaces and high-touch surfaces.


Hand Hygiene: Hand washing requirements for associates; sanitizer dispensers placed throughout the hotel.


Physical Distancing: Modified floor plans and queuing through floor signage and stanchions.


Minimizing Reuse: Minimizing shared items and appliances; using disposable and single-use items.


Training:  On-property Cleanliness Champion; updated training and protocols for all associates with daily reinforcement.


Equipment: HEPA/ULTA filtration in air units and vacuums, hospital grade sanitation products and electrostatic sprayer for public areas.


Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Face coverings required for all associates and appropriate PPE provided by the hotel.


Less Contact, More Connection: Utilization of the Marriott Bonvoy app to check in and to communicate to our associates (pre arrival, during stay and after check out).



Every guest room is thoroughly cleaned and disinfected prior to your arrival. During your stay, we will not provide housekeeping automatically every day. If you wish to receive daily housekeeping refresh service, please let our guest services team know. We will be happy to schedule service according to your preferences. Please note that if you are staying with us a bit longer, we will automatically clean your guest room after every 6th night.

We are committed to making the amenities and services at our property available to you while complying with local regulations, including guidance on reducing capacity in public spaces and reinforcing social distancing. The modifications we have made include:

Room Service - Unavailable at this time, however we are happy to help you source outside food delivery.


Restaurant/Lounge - Unavailable at this time.


Fitness Centre - Open with capacity limit of 2 people at a time.


Indoor Pool - Open with limited capacity, based on a first come, first serve method.


Daily Housekeeping Services - Daily housekeeping not available at this time, however items are available for delivery, and a room touch up can be requested. Note that guestroom must be vacant and have been so for 3 hours for a housekeeping attendant to service the room.


Business Centre - Open with limited capacity of 2 people at a time.

Hotel Food & Beverage services are not available at this time. We are happy to help you source a food delivery option from one of Vancouver's many amazing restaurants.
