Providing a safer environment for our guests and associates is a top priority. Achieving this is a shared responsibility. Please join us in our efforts to enhance the safety of our public spaces by complying with local regulations and wearing a face covering - which is required - whenever you're in public areas of the hotel. We do appreciate your support and understanding. We remind you also to practice social distancing, staying at least 6 feet or 2 meters from other guests and hotel associates
  • Signage has been added throughout the hotel to remind guests to maintain social distancing, as well as that face masks are mandatory in all public spaces of the hotel.

 

  • Please note that as of August 1st, face masks are mandatory in the City of Calgary for all indoor public spaces and public transportation.

 

  • Partitions have been installed at the front desk and at the food and beverage service lines.

 

  • There are several hand sanitizing stations throughout the hotel for your use.

 

  • The use of mobile capabilities via the Marriott Bonvoy app is encouraged for a contactless experience.  Mobile check-in, mobile key, service requests, and mobile dining orders delivered right to your door, can all be managed through the app.

 

  • For the safety of our guests and associates, the main hotel doors are key card access only. We ask that you register all guests and visitors at the front desk upon check-in or throughout your stay, as we are only allowing access to the building to registered guests of the hotel. We have staff in the lobby 24 hours a day to assist as needed.

In keeping with Marriott's Commitment to Clean, several enhancements to our cleaning protocols have been made throughout the property and in the guest rooms. Every guest room is thoroughly cleaned and disinfected prior to a guest arrival. During the stay, daily housekeeping is not automatic and can be requested based on preferences. A refresh can also be provided upon request. Please note the following:

 

  • Enhanced Public Space Cleaning: Increased frequency of cleaning and disinfecting, especially in high-traffic areas such as restrooms and elevators. There are several hand sanitizing stations throughout the hotel for your use.

 

  • Social Distancing Practices: Signage is visible throughout the hotel promoting physical distancing and encouraging guests to stand at least 6 feet apart.

 

  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Associates are required to wear PPE (i.e. face coverings, gloves, etc.) based on the activities that they are performing. Guests are required to wear personal face coverings in all indoor public areas throughout the hotel and in line with guidelines from local health authorities.

 

  • Guest Rooms: Every guest room is thoroughly cleaned and disinfected between each guest. We have removed all of the high touch point items from the room including items such as the ice bucket, coffee maker, bottled water, magazines, cups, etc. At any point during your stay, the Team is available to deliver housekeeping services and amenities, upon request. Services include the request for additional toiletries, fresh linens, fresh towels, trash removal and removal of used towels and linen. Hygiene and cleanliness are of the utmost importance and steps have been put in place to ensure the safety of our guests and associates. Requests can be made via Mobile Chat in the Marriott Bonvoy app, by calling the Front Desk from your room or by stopping by the front desk. 


Every guest room is thoroughly cleaned and disinfected prior to your arrival. During your stay, we will not provide housekeeping automatically every day. If you wish to receive daily housekeeping refresh service, please let our guest services team know. We will be happy to schedule service according to your preferences. Please note that if you are staying with us a bit longer, we will automatically clean your guest room after every 6th night.

We are committed to providing amenities while complying with local regulations, including guidance on reducing the capacity in public spaces and reinforcing social distancing. The modifications we have made include:

 

  • Parking: Please note that valet service has been suspended and the hotel is offering self-parking only in the hotel's designated parking garage.

 

  • Fitness Floor/Pool: The Fitness Centre gym and the pool are open with social distancing and cleanliness protocols in place. Reservations can be made at the Front Desk or through Mobile Chat for specific time periods.   Please note that the hot tub is closed until further notice. If you are looking to get outside for some fresh air, maps of the local running, walking and biking paths are available at the front desk. 

 

  • Starbucks: Located on the lobby level, our Starbucks is open Monday - Friday from 7am - 1pm and Saturday and Sunday 7am - noon.  

 

  • Elite Pantry: Closed until further notice.

Seating within the restaurant has been rearranged to enforce social distancing and comply with local mandates. Partitions have been installed at the food and beverage service lines.

 

  • Restaurant Hours and Operations: Located at the center of the lobby, our restaurant, The Shoe & Canoe Public House is open from 4:30pm-8:30pm Monday - Saturday for Dinner and Happy Hour is available from 4:30pm-6:00pm Monday - Saturday.  We are also offering our Shoe & Canoe Lite menu, which is available to order directly to your room or to-go.  The food menu is available 24 hours a day and alcoholic beverages are available from 10:00am to 2:00am daily.  Mobile Dining is available through the Marriott Bonvoy app should you choose to order take-out style to your room.
