Providing a safer environment for our guests and associates is a top priority. Achieving this is a shared responsibility. Please join us in our efforts to enhance the safety of our public spaces by complying with local regulations and wearing a face covering - which is required - whenever you're in public areas of the hotel. We do appreciate your support and understanding. We remind you also to practice social distancing, staying at least 6 feet or 2 meters from other guests and hotel associates.

"Cleanliness Champions" have been assigned at the Hotel to educate our Ladies & Gentlemen, perform continuous evaluations, drive awareness, and ensure alignment with all guidelines.


Hotel Entry & Check-In
  • Ladies & Gentlemen will be attending to all doors to ensure guests have a touchless entry into the Hotel
  • Mobile check-in will be leveraged through the Marriott Bonvoy app and all key cards sanitized and disinfected prior to distribution
  • Signage and partitions will be placed throughout the Hotel to promote physical-distancing efforts

Valet
  • Valet service and self-parking options will be available

Restaurants & Amenities
  • Restaurants will use QR Codes for menus and single-serving condiments
  • Division of kitchen workstations will provide 2m distance between and limit the number of Ladies & Gentlemen in one space

Spa & Fitness
  • Staggered appointment times and modified floorplans will support physical distancing efforts
  • Lockers and keys will be sanitized between use and assigned lockers will be staggered to increase social-distancing

Meetings & Special Events
Meeting and event spaces will be modified to allow for limited touch and proper social-distancing. We are partnering with vendors to expand these healthy procedures in this new landscape. As always, the Ladies & Gentlemen on our Meetings and Special Events team look forward to bringing your vision to life.
  • Customized seating capacities will ensure alignment with local, provincial and federal authorities' meeting guidelines
  • Staggered meeting arrivals and one-way directional signage will ensure guest flow with appropriate social-distancing
  • Live-streaming options will be available for general session and breakout meeting rooms and special channel in-guestroom (additional fees may apply) for any remote-meeting attendees

The Ritz-Carlton, Toronto is committed to providing our guests and our Ladies & Gentlemen with a safe and secure environment while continuing to provide genuine care and comfort. Our protocols will continue to evolve as Corporate, City, Provincial and Federal guidelines change.


Below are steps we are taking to keep our guests, employees, and the community healthy. Each operating department has its own customized set of procedures, even more detailed than the summary presented here. We will continue to refine and update our plans as needed.

 

  • All Ladies & Gentlemen will be wearing facial coverings throughout the Hotel and submit to a temperature check upon entering the Hotel
  • Electrostatic spraying technology will be used in public spaces in addition to deeper, more frequent cleaning of high-traffic and high-touch areas
  • Hand sanitizer dispensers will be placed throughout the Hotel for guest use and at work stations for our Ladies & Gentlemen

Restaurants & Amenities
  • All dishes will be processed through a high temperature dishwasher

Guestrooms
  • Housekeeping Ladies & Gentlemen will change PPE, including gloves and facial coverings, in between each guestroom service
  • Peroxide multi-purpose disinfectant cleaners will be used on all surfaces of the guestroom or suite
  • Shared amenities, such as pens and magazines, have been removed from guestrooms and will be made available upon request

Valet
  • Valet Ladies & Gentlemen will switch gloves prior to servicing the next vehicle

Spa & Fitness
  • Sanitization of equipment, treatment rooms and lounge areas between use; high-touch areas are cleaned at regular intervals


Every guest room is thoroughly cleaned and disinfected between each guest. We will continue to provide housekeeping services daily while you are away from the room. If you have any specific housekeeping preferences or would like to not receive housekeeping service during your stay, please contact guest services at any time.
Hotel: Masks required when not in guest room or seated in a restaurant or bar
Pool: Open for Hotel and Spa guests
Spa: Open, reservations required, masks required at all times
Ritz Bar: Open 7am to 10pm, masks required upon entry, may be removed once seated
